Gary grew up in Billerica, Massachusetts. After graduating from high school, Gary moved to Naples, Florida in 2009 where he started his career in the golf business. His first job was working as a cart barn attendant at Foxfire Country Club. Upon finishing his associate's degree at Edison State College in 2012, he was hired as a full time assistant golf professional at Foxfire. He was promoted to 1st assistant in 2019. Gary was elected as a Class A PGA Member in the summer of 2021.
In the offseason Gary plays in as many tournaments as possible put on by the South Florida PGA section. When he is not on the golf course he enjoys going paddle boarding with his wife, fishing, and training his two german shepherds. He is also an avid Boston sports fan.
